Welcome   to  Myoonin Temple

The temple is surrounded by nature and has a calming and tranquil atmosphere where you can breathe fresh air, listen to bird sounds, and enjoy the changing seasons.
You are welcome to enter the temple and take a seat. All people are welcome to enter the temple, regardless of their religion or faith.  Sitting inside the quiet and peaceful temple provides an opportunity to calm your mind, relax, think, and reflect.  
You are also invited to experience some traditional Buddhist practices, such as sutra copying, mixing your own incense fragrance, and walking on the trails in the surrounding mountains to visit the sacred sites enshrined there.

Myoonin Temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect.

Myoonin Temple was built in 1579 by decree of Daimyo Satomi Yoshiyori as a temple to worship Buddhism in Tateyama.

Since ancient times, Mount Awa koyasan Myoonin has been worshipped holy mountain by practitioners in the past.

Small scale shikoku 88 places pilgrimage

 四国八十八ヶ所霊場

Go   around  15~20min.

Entrance fee:  ３００yen / 1person 

Hours:  9:00～16:00

 

Motivations for setting out on the pilgrimage vary widely, and the pilgrims are not necessarily followers of Shingon Buddhism. Some join for personal reasons, such as regaining health, reflecting on a failure, or seeking a path in life.

The pilgrim can have a priest put the temple's  seal  (shuin 300yen ) in a special pilgrim's  book  called a  nokyocho. The priest also adds some calligraohy in black ink.
